The Atari 2600s version of the 6502 was a severely castrated version of the original chip, which was and is severely limited. Yes, the NES version of Galaga is superior, but the price of cpu's, ram, etc were already going down in price when the NES released in 1983, compared to IC prices of 1977. Also, keep in mind that the Atari hardware was never created to remotely run a game like the more recent version of Galaga. I am simply baffled by what present developers have been able to push on the 2600 hardware. Back in the early 80s, we thought that Activision and Imagic titles were the limits of the VCS system and nothing remotely better.

I remember when Shaq did Kazaam & I thought why did he (Shaq) rip of Sinbad movie and blatantly just changing the 1st letter in the name. Here is a question why on earth would Kazaam be a genie movie & not Shazam I am telling Shazzam existed may have dot spelled it right, but it started Sinbad who at the time was washed up as an actor his clothes were out dated by many years. He wore MC Hammer pants in real life long after they went out of style. Those are the pants that kind of looked like genie costume pants that was in MC Hammers hit son “Hammer Time” mC Hammer was the most popular singer then. Shazzam as a genie was already a cartoon. I just tried it, since I learned that it's one of the most popular commercial hot sauces in Vietnam. But found it way too sweet and artificial tasting (a careful look at the ingredients would have told me) and not really very hot. Vietnam isn't really known for hot food (not like Thailand is for example). If you're looking for a really good chili sauce, try Huey Fong Sambal Oelek. It's got a great chili flavor, and all the heat you need. I'll probably end up chucking it.
